The nylon screws that are available are definitely worth the $5 - you might be able to get away with not replacing the clips, but is it worth it for $5? Also, I would recommend reading around on the thermal paste and seeing which of the several recommended ones is available at the best price, I found the ubiquitous 'Arctic Silver' to be quite a bit more expensive than other brands which out perform it in testing. I would recommend that people get all the parts together before opening up the Mini.
